One of my goals/aims for this year was to start being more healthy. Quite cliche I know. However, to help me do this I received a smoothie maker for Christmas which I was so happy about; since then I've basically made some sort of smoothie every day. So I have two of my favourites to share here, I hope you enjoy and get to try them out!
Mango & Strawberry Smoothie
You will need:
- 1 Mango (Pre cut frozen mango is also fine, its what I personally use)
- Strawberries (Again, frozen strawberries work perfectly too)
- Orange Juice (Or water if you'd prefer it more healthy)
If you have a fresh mango, cut it up into small squares so it blends easier. If you're using frozen mango, this is usually already been cut so you will just need to put that into the blender straight away. The same goes for strawberries, if you're using fresh ones then cut the tops of and cut them into smaller chunks. If you're using frozen, you can chuck them straight in. Once you've put both the mango and strawberries into the blender, then add either water or orange juice, which ever you'd prefer. There is no specific amount to use for either fruit, just as much as you think you will want. One tip however; if your blender doesn't work well with ice, you may want to defrost the frozen fruit before using.
My Take On A Green Smoothie
You will need:
- 1 Kiwi
- Kale (about a handful or two)
- Mango
- Cucumber
- Apple Juice (or water if prefered)
Have you got a favourite smoothie?
